Day 2: Cebu City

After a great and well needed night’s rest we set out on a trip to explore the city. For breakfast we had fruit from the nearby grocery store and a selection of bakery treats. Fresh bread rolls from the bakery cost as little as P10 ($0.30)! dsc_04416514957559818259815.jpg 20190303_142903.jpg 20190303_143436.jpgdsc_04402059265345171830094.jpgdsc_04624915213961026475752.jpg20190303_160504.jpg On our adventure we explored Fort San Pedro. The fort is the oldest and smallest fort in the Philippines, shaped in a triangle. dsc_04429118962678176709128.jpg 20190303_151033.jpg20190303_151544.jpg20190303_151726.jpgdsc_04506252489069108318070.jpg For lunch we had our second visit to Chowking. This time we had the Wonton noodle soup and dumplimg chao fan… Yum! We also passed the Basilica del Santo Nino which had services running all day. The venue was huge with tiered seating. On our return to the hostel we kicked back with some Tiger Blacks at the hostel bar. There were A LOT of feral cats around scavenging for food and Kyle almost owned one when he moved a chair. For dinner we went to Yaksi Barbeque and the food was epic! Upon arrival you select which meat you would like before finding a seat. The waiters then approach the table to offer rice, drinks and sauces. The food didn’t take long to come out and was absolutely delicious! Between us we had 2 x BBQ pork, 2 x pork belly, 2 x chorizo and 1 x chicken thigh. Washed down with a couple of San Miguel beers it came to a total of only P525 ($15)! The pork belly was the most expensive item at P98 ($3), but was absolutely enormous! received_2240942386226754-2.jpeg
