Day 6: Moalboal

Today for breakfast we went to Veranda bar and had bratkartoffeln (fried potatoes with onion and bacon) with two fried eggs, a tea / coffee and a banana juice. Was bloody tasty and a great spot on the beach, but the owner dimmed the experience a little when he tried to charge us an extra P100 and wouldn’t listen to the waitress!

Was a bit dodgy with all the tourist boats coming and going and a strong current heading down the beach, but the swarms of sardines we’re absolutely amazing to see and fun to swim through!

Once we’d had enough of dodging boats we let the current drag us down the beach and explored the coral. We were lucky enough to also find a couple of turtles swimming along having a munch!

The rest of the afternoon was well spent eating french fries and spring rolls, drinking beers and the happy hour cocktail special ‘cuba libre’ and playing 500 at Restobar. There was also a pod of dolphins swimming past while we were there.

For dinner we headed back to Ven’z kitchen, this time we went all vege with the vegetables with peanut sauce, eggplant sisig and banana smoothie. Again, delicious!
