Day 12: El Nido

Today we had a sleep in. A loooot of people in the hostel are sick and both our stomachs have been unsettled so we are very paranoid. The water quality is very poor because it hasn’t rained for so long so we are using bottled water even to brush our teeth.

Once we made it out of the hostel we headed to El Nido beach. It was surprisingly quiet, probably because most people we’re out on tours.

We had beef burgers and fries with a mango shake for lunch. After some swimming we parked up at a beach front restaurant for some beers and to play 500.

At around 5pm we headed to the Tabanka dive shop to get everything ready for our dive courses which start tomorrow. On the walk back the beach was so calm and the weather was epic, so we decided to go to a beach front restaurant for dinner.

We ended up at Bella Vita which has a great reputation for wood fired pizza. We had the veggie pizza and french bread (first bread we’ve had that wasn’t sweet…. Hurrah!!!) followed by a nutella and banana dessert pizza…
