Sleep in day! Wooooo! Eventually we surfaced at around 11 am and left the hostel to go find some breakfast.
We ended up at French bakery Konnichipan, which Kyle remembered from his last stay in Bangkok. The pastries were delicious and we were both stoked to have a NORMAL SANDWICH with NORMAL BREAD oh man the relief so tired of sweet bread.
On the way home we washed it all down with 20 baht mango and banana smoothies.

The afternoon was spent playing cards at the hostel and having a quick (hour and a half lol) nap.

At 4 pm we went searching for some late lunch. Eventually we found a street food stall that had opened for dinner service and had chicken and prawn Pad Thai for a total of 110 baht.
This was followed by sinking some beers at the hostel and yarning to a dude obsessed with fruit. Like next level obsessed. He stated his reason for his 46 day visit to Thailand was for the durian. At first we thought he was talking rubbish but it didn’t take long to realise he was actually super knowledgable and it made for an interesting hour. Turns out there are fruititarians who only eat fruit, who knew! And apparently tabbacco leaves are the best cure for any type of wound, bite, sting etc.
Eventually this guy finished his 500 baht worth of durian and left to go get dinner. We finished off our beers and then headed to Khao San Road for some more beers. Although we were constantly harrassed by dudes trying to sell scorpians and spiders neither of us were game to try one. Laughing gas is a big hit on the street and it was amusing watching people smash through balloon after balloon of the stuff.
On the way home we stopped at a small family restaurant for a dinner of pork pad see yew and french fries.
